We often learn so much from the little people we meet--like exploring our environment with all five senses, even if that means feeling a squiggly worm fall through our fingers, or that the only way to truly enjoy an ice cream cone is to let it slowly drip down to your elbow. These are the little things that when seen through the eyes of a child, can leave you invigorated and inspired to see the world just a bit differently.
A little boy named Jake did this, and so much more during his four years here with us. And so in June, Ashley Brown Photography is supporting Jake's Help from Heaven--an organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with multiple medical challenges.
Since March 2011, Jake's Help from Heaven has funded 29 applications and awarded over $24,000 to families in need. Having experienced first hand the challenges families face when they have a child with multiple medical challenges, Jake's family has been inspired by the many brave and amazing individuals that are making the absolute best out of complicated and challenging situations.
And according to Jake's mom, Heather, it is the connection she feels with Jake as a result of the deeply touching and emotional generosity of their organization that makes every single interaction with families who experience the struggle her own family felt unique and memorable.
