brian & matt / by Ashley Brown

We were recently asked by the brother of one of our clients if we would be interested in photographing his upcoming nuptials. For over 4 years, our focus has solely been on children and families, and that is where our passion lies. But, when I met with Brian and Matt, it was clear that this was an opportunity we couldn't pass up. They are an absolutely fantastic couple, and I knew it was going to be a beautiful day. Plus, it was right up our alley as far as what we'd be interested in shooting... a small, intimate ceremony at Brian's sister's home. Kristen and I figured we'd give it a shot and see how we enjoyed it. We loved it! I can't say enough about how wonderful the experience was. Brian and Matt are incredibly handsome (see for yourself), photogenic and receptive to our ideas. The home where the ceremony took place made for a beautiful backdrop, and the weather was perfectly cooperative (albeit a little warm!). It was really so much fun for us be able to combine portraiture with documentary-style shooting, and be a fly on the wall during such an intimate and love-filled day. It is clear how much Brian and Matt are a perfect match, and their amazing and supportive families really made it into a day to remember. Kristen and I couldn't stop talking about how we much we enjoyed ourselves... photographically and otherwise.

Brian and Matt... thank you for trusting us with one of the most important days of your life. We couldn't be more thrilled for the two of you, and know you will enjoy nothing but a lifetime of happiness!

The handsome grooms. From what we could see, there were no nerves involved. They were perfectly relaxed and so excited.

One of my favorite aspects of the day was how they involved their dog, Pax. He was an ever-present fixture, as he should be!

The home and property were nothing short of gorgeous... a perfect and personal venue for their ceremony.

Brian's nephew, Philip (who I have photographed since he was a baby) served as ring bearer.

Just a part of their beautiful families.

We are accepting a very limited number of small, intimate weddings for 2012, and are excited to bring our classic style to this events. For more details, please email
